It is a privilege tonight to honor Trent Romer as we induct him into the Columbia High School Hall of Fame. A Honors student at Columbia, Trent graduated in 1988, and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at Hamilton College

Trent has grown and developed a very successful business over the past 30 years. He was a TEDX talker, and is a published author of 2 books. Currently, he oversees over 10 companies, teaching them how to incorporate sustainability into their business models. In addition, he has created an online Sustainability in Business course.

Trent received a certificate in Corporate Sustainability Management Risk, Profit and Purpose from Yale University. He also received an Education for Sustainability Leadership Award from Harvard University. His first book, Finding Sustainability, was the winner of the “Gold Winner” Award at the Non Fiction Book Awards.

Along with a team from Clear View, he annually participates in The River Keeper to help clean the Hudson River and its subsidiaries. Trent often participates in outreach church events and soup kitchens.

path. The world could use more people like Trent Romer.
