Erin Tarbox has dedicated her career to the well-being of children for 15 years, much of that time as a kindergarten teacher at Green Meadow School, where Erin herself had gone to school. Even then, at the age of 5 Erin stood out for her care and generosity towards others. As a teacher at Green Meadow, Erin set out to create a inclusive and creative school room, one that children knew was a special place. And others did, too. WNYT named her a Top Teacher.

Erin married, started a family, first with her son Brayden, and soon after with her daughter Brinley. Brinley, was born early, weighing under two pounds, and for the first few months of her life, Erin and her husband took turns staying with her in the NICU. There, they learned the struggles parents faced while in the NICU. And Erin, who has always been such a kind and caring person, wanted to do something for these parents. So, she started Brinley’s Bags. Every Brinley Bag is assembled at the Tarbox home, and include toiletries, snacks, coffee gift cards and other items. Over 300 of these bags have been delivered, and more are underway. Erin’s generosity was once again recognized by WNYT, who featured Brinley’s Bags.

The East Greenbush Education Foundation is proud to recognize Erin Tarbox as she is named to our hall of fame."
